Our recent campaigns

What have we been up to lately? Too much to list everything, but here’s a few snippets…

We recently celebrated scooping a prestigious national PR award. Our ‘Football Fever Report’ for Littlewoods Pools – which featured on Sky Sports, Five and BBC Radio Five Live, among others – was judged ‘Best Use of Media Relations’ at the CIPR Excellence Awards 2007. You can read what the judges said at www.cipr.co.uk/excellence

We organised and ran National Solar Week for electronics retailer Maplin. The campaign allowed us to showcase Maplin’s growing range of solar-powered products, and we also set up a petition asking the Government to remove VAT on energy-efficient products. So far, more than 5,000 people have signed the petition.

Environmental concerns are also high on the agenda for the construction industry, where our client NG Bailey is a leading campaigner for sustainable solutions. We recently wrote and produced NG Bailey’s first Sustainability Report, which outlines the work the company is doing to reduce the environmental impact of its building projects.

From buildings…to biscuits. Bahlsen is Europe’s biggest producer of premium biscuits, and we’ve been helping the company – which sponsored the last series of ITV’s ‘Parkinson’ – to boost its profile (and sales) in the UK with a sustained PR campaign targeting both the consumer and grocery trade media. We’ve also been helping sales directly by eating lots of their delicious biscuits, such as Choco Leibniz and Crispini.

We’re continuing to help Bradford Centre Regeneration promote the £2bn transformation of the city with a PR campaign aimed at a broad range of stakeholders, from local councillors and MPs, to the city’s residents and potential investors. Our award-winning work, which began in 2004, has helped boost Bradford’s image and make the city one of the most talked-about in Britain.

Finally, when York Tourism Bureau asked us to come up with some ideas to promote the city’s cultural heritage, we devised a typically Brahm solution. Who better to promote the cultural delights to visitors than the city’s taxi drivers? So, with some help from local actors, we trained a few cabbies to recite poetry, including the works of local poet WH Auden. The result? TV and national press coverage.

We’d love to write more, but unfortunately we’re too busy actually doing stuff. However, if you’d like us to explain in more detail what we’ve done for others, and what we could do for you, get in touch.
