Expressing the rhythm, lyricism and energy of landscape.

Inspired by the surrounding Yorkshire countryside and working with the notion that her practice unlocks the figurative features of a landscape, Lisa Nicholson has created the Mythological Landscapes series of paintings. The artist seeks out the earth’s mythological undertones, using her imagination to transform the ordinary landscape into an extraordinary, dreamlike and otherworldly place.
