Alan Flood

10 January, 6-8pm

Alan Flood was born in Blackburn, where he studied at Blackburn School of Art and School of Fine Art, and then later at Leeds Polytechnic. After a successful career as an illustrator he began painting again in 1987.

Fast-forward twenty years and Flood is a highly-regarded and accomplished portrait painter; the Russian violinist, Marat Bisengaliev, the conductor Paul Daniel, Sir Ernest Hall OBE, the guitarist John Renbourn, and the late Jane Tomlinson have sat for him.

Brahm Gallery is pleased to be exhibiting a collection of Alan Flood’s paintings made over the last 3 years, including portraiture, still life, landscape and striking works from his prominent ‘Koi’ series.
