Yorkshire WaterClient Challenge:Yorkshire Water wanted to reach out to its customers and develop more communication with them. Generally, customers do not communicate much with utility companies except to pay bills, and Yorkshire Water wanted to change this by opening up to the public. They asked Brahm Design to help them create two products; a direct mail conservation pack, and an annual customer report.
Our Solution:The conservation pack was to tell customers the basic facts of conserving water. It told people how to save water in the home and garden, and how to avoid frozen pipes. The pack included a questionnaire for customer feedback, and a 'hog' to conserve water in cisterns. The pack featured stylish black and white photography of everyday water-related household items, such as taps.
The annual customer report is a statutory document and Brahm Design wanted to make it brighter and more user-friendly. The content is in the form of questions and answers, with interesting facts and figures in bite-size form, which makes the information easy to read and digest. The photography features real Yorkshire Water customers rather than models, and each image reflects the question on the page. The report is an interesting read, and gives the customer the facts about the quality product which Yorkshire Water supply.
