SumaClient Challenge:Suma is a workers' cooperative that was founded in 1977. They manufacture and sell a range of products such as wine, canned vegetables, soups, wholefoods and organic foods. They wanted to update their packaging and make it more contemporary. The aim was to build on the Suma brand and enable it to site comfortably next to more mainstream brands and supermarkets' own labels.
Our Solution:Brahm Design adapted the Suma logo, making it appear in a more uniform, discreet fashion on the packs. The products - beans, coffee, pasta sauces etc were photographed in a simple, natural style to reflect the values of Suma. The images of the products were used alongside further images which conveyed the ethical values of Suma and the production values that the company has. The shape of the olive oil bottle was changed to a more elegant one, enabling the product to be marketed as a premium brand.
